The Council welcomed over 40 volunteers at the Upper Mill Creek Cleanup on Saturday, October 5. The participants gathered at Beckett Park in West Chester Township, and then were split into groups. The groups spread out across the Upper Mill Creek Watershed and cleaned up a total of seven sites along the stream. The volunteers collected 1.13 tons of trash! The Council would like to thank our hard-working volunteers. The Mill Creek is now a better place because of you!
We hosted around 100 attendees at the second annual Mill Creek ReCreation Celebration on Saturday, September 28. The event was held at our stream restoration and wetland creation project, Twin Creek Preserve (Sharonville). We sincerely thank all who attended the event - you made the event a huge success! Other contributing factors to the event's success: Great Outdoor Weekend, our event sponsors, and the beautiful weather.
Keeping our streams clean keeps our communities beautiful! Join the Council to clean up the Upper Mill Creek on Saturday, October 5. This event is family-friendly and open to all ages. The cleanups will occur in and along the stream, so be prepared for walking through thick brush and getting muddy. If you can only make part of the day let us know and we will assign you to a specific site.
Mr. John Johnston, Cincinnati Enquirer Reporter, wrote a story on the Mill Creek Yacht Club which appeared in the paper on September 17. We sincerely thank Mr. Johnston for telling the story of the Mill Creek and for drawing attention to our shared water resource.
We hosted over 55 attendees at our Full Council meeting on Tuesday, September 10 in Evendale. The meeting theme's theme was "it's happening on the Mill Creek." Thank you to the Village of Evendale for hosting us at the Municipal Building.

We love our volunteers! The City of Wyoming and the Council co-hosted a volunteer cleanup on Saturday, August 24. Over 25 participants removed honeysuckle at Oak Park and cleaned up the West Fork Mill Creek. Thank you to all our dedicated volunteers for a successful cleanup!

On June 17-20, The Council hosted twelve hard-working volunteers from the Catholic HEART Workcamp. This is the second year we have worked with this volunteer program and the volunteers continue to impress us more and more!
