The Mill Creek Yacht Club welcomed over 30 crewmates on June 28 to paddle from Reading to Center Hill Bridge. Padding the Mill Creek is a unique way to experience Cincinnati! It's always an adventure. The Yacht Club has paddled 26 of the 28 miles of the Mill Creek. We just hit 100 outings and 600 crewmates!
Thank you to Bruce Koehler, Jeff Agricola, Michael Reifenberger, Mike Miller and the Reading Public Works Department for removing the 4 ton industrial boiler (we think that's what it was) from the Mill Creek. The Council is lucky to have such dedicated friends. It took 11 tons of pulling power to break it loose from the stream bed!
Here's to 100 outings with the Mill Creek Yacht Club! 30 people joined us to celebrate on Sunday, May 4. We had perfect weather to paddle the Lower Mill Creek from Northside to the Ohio River. We thank the crewmates of the Mill Creek Yacht Club for showing your love for our local water resource and helping us hit 600 paddlers!! Commodore Bruce Koehler couldn't be more proud.
Become a voice of the future! The strategic planning process addresses four questions: Where are we as a region? Where are we going given current trends? Where do we want to go? How do we get there? OKI is updating a policy plan to improve quality of life and service to the public in southwest Ohio, northern Kentucky, and southeast Indiana, and they want to hear from you.
