Who’s ready for a creek walk on the West Fork?
Rain, snow or shine, Brian Kwiatkowski, senior ecologist and Chair of Wyoming’s Environmental Stewardship Commission, will teach participants about Mill Creek stream features including wildlife, ecology, erosion and more. Brian will also highlight upcoming projects by the Council in the watershed.
This will be a leisurely walk of about 1.2 miles roundtrip along the flat bank of the Mill Creek in Wyoming from the Wyoming Community Garden’s parking lot to the Wyoming hike/bike trail bridge and back – you will not be getting in the water. We do ask that you dress appropriately for the weather, wear close-toed shoes and keep in mind, that though flat, this path is still in a semi-wooded area. Both friendly dogs and children are welcome to join us!
When: Saturday, February 18 from 10:00 a.m.-noon
Location: Wyoming Garden parking lot near the softball fields at North Park (the intersection of Chestnut Avenue and North Park Avenue)
RSVP is required. Please click here to register. To give us an accurate count, each person in your party will need to register. One person per ticket please.
