The Regional Watershed Assistance Center model provides for environmentally and economically beneficial outcomes through delivery of a broad range of services by the implementing watershed-based organization.
Regional Watershed Assistance Center
The Regional Watershed Assistance Center (RWAC) in the Mill Creek Watershed is the flagship model in the State of Ohio of watershed-scale improvement efforts that work to make water quality and habitat improvements, drive permanent behavior changes in land use decisions, foster stewardship of shared water resources, and generate investment in Ohio’s streams and rivers. For the Mill Creek Watershed of Communities, implementation of the RWAC model means increased capacity to expand the range of services the Council provides to its membership to achieve beneficial environmental and economic outcomes.
This program was made possible by a Federal Section 319 Grant administered by the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency.
